What’s been happening:

Since graduating from Penn State, I spent a year in law school at Michigan State University. Although the experience was challenging and rewarding, I decided to change my field of study to education. I moved back to PA where I have been attending Edinboro University, and substituting as an educational aid in special education classrooms. I have been working on my PA teacher's certification in Secondary Social Studies along with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I will be certified to teach in PA in December 2009 and graduate with a M.Ed. in May 2010. This November I got engaged to my high school sweetheart (Cain Hickey, also a student at Penn State University Park who will graduate with a B.S. in Horticulture, December 2009). We are planning a wedding this summer: July 24; it is very exciting!
